Alice's Wonderful Sailing on Cunard's Beautiful Queen Anne
27th October 2026
I have just returned from a wonderful sailing on Cunard’s beautiful Queen Anne, and she’s ready to share her highlights! From relaxing in a balcony stateroom to enjoying incredible dining and unforgettable entertainment, here’s what made her cruise so special.
One thing cruises do exceptionally well is food, and Queen Anne certainly didn’t disappoint! The variety available at the buffet was AMAZING, with so much choice to suit different tastes and appetites. Whether you fancy a relaxed breakfast, a light lunch or something a little more indulgent, there’s plenty to tempt you. However, the evening dining experience was a real standout for me. The main dining room felt elegant and special, with attentive service and fantastic-quality food. It’s lovely to get dressed up for dinner, sit back and enjoy being looked after while someone else takes care of everything. It’s these little touches that make cruising feel like a real holiday. From leisurely meals to delicious dishes and friendly service, dining on board was definitely one of my favourite parts of the experience.
Alice’s tip: Make the most of the different dining options on board. Part of the fun of cruising is trying something different every day!
There’s something special about waking up somewhere new, with beautiful surroundings, fantastic dining and unforgettable entertainment all in one place.
We managed to enjoy three shows during our time on board, and the entertainment was another real highlight! One experience that deserves a special mention is the Fizz show at Bright Lights Society. Honestly, WOW! From the moment you walk through the door, the performers get you involved, creating an immersive and interactive atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel different from a traditional theatre show. It’s lively, glamorous and full of personality, making it a brilliant choice for an evening with a difference. The experience costs around £20 per person, based on our experience, and I genuinely felt it was worth it for something so unique. If you’re sailing on Queen Anne, I would absolutely recommend looking into it! Alongside this, we enjoyed two other shows, giving us a lovely variety of entertainment throughout the cruise. There really is something special about being able to enjoy a full evening of entertainment without having to leave the ship.
Alice’s tip: Check the entertainment programme early in your cruise so you can plan your evenings and avoid missing anything you particularly want to see!
We were lucky enough to stay in a balcony stateroom, and it’s something I always recommend to my customers whenever possible! There’s something truly special about waking up each morning, stepping out onto your own private balcony and taking in the view of somewhere new. Whether you’re sailing into a beautiful port or watching the ocean stretch out into the distance, it’s the perfect way to start the day. The cabin itself was lovely and spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the ship. To make our arrival even more special, we were welcomed with a complimentary bottle of fizz! For me, having a balcony really adds that extra touch of luxury to a cruise. It’s your own little private space to enjoy the views, have a quiet moment and soak up the experience.
Alice’s tip: If your budget allows, I’d definitely consider upgrading to a balcony stateroom. Those peaceful mornings at sea are hard to beat!
What really stood out to me was the opportunity to enjoy so many different experiences all in one place. From the comfort of the cabin and the fantastic dining options to the entertainment and variety of bars and lounges, Queen Anne offers plenty of ways to make your holiday your own. Whether you enjoy dressing up for an elegant evening, relaxing with a drink overlooking the ocean or filling your days with activities, there’s something to suit different styles of cruising. And let’s not forget one of the biggest joys of a cruise: waking up somewhere new! Every destination brings something different, while the ship itself becomes part of the holiday. I had a wonderful time on board Queen Anne, and there were so many highlights to enjoy. The balcony stateroom was a lovely touch, the dining was fantastic, and the Fizz show at Bright Lights Society was a real standout experience. If you’re considering a Cunard cruise and want a holiday that combines beautiful surroundings, delicious food, entertainment and time to relax, Queen Anne is certainly one to add to your shortlist. As always, the best cruise for you will depend on what you enjoy most, your budget and the destinations you’d love to visit. But if Queen Anne has caught your eye, I’d be more than happy to help you explore the options.
