Itinerary
✓ Day 1: Fly to Chicago, where you will be met by your Tour Director and transferred to your hotel for a two-night stay.
✓ Day 2: Chicago with City Tour -
Enjoy an included morning city tour of Chicago with the afternoon at leisure.
✓ Day 3: St Louis -
Say farewell to Chicago and commence the journey of the historic Route 66, arriving in St Louis to follow in the footsteps of legendary explorers.
✓ Day 4: Meramec Caverns
Continue through the Ozark Highlands of Southern Missouri, recognised as the birthplace of Route 66.
✓ Day 5: Oklahoma City Tour -
Cut through the south-eastern corner of Kansas on the way to Oklahoma City before an included Oklahoma City Tour.
✓ Day 6: Oklahoma Route 66 Museum & Shamrock to Amarillo
Continue to Amarillo, stop at the Oklahoma Route 66 Musuem and Shamrock Texas.
✓ Day 7: Cadillac Ranch and Albuquerque
Before leaving Amarillo, visit the world-famous Cadillac Ranch. Continue west and arrive in Albuquerque; known for the annual International Balloon Festival.
✓ Day 8: Gallup -
Leave Albuquerque and travel north to Gallup. Take the chance to shop in one of the unique gift stores. Upon leaving, you'll enter the Nation's largest Native American Reservation. Join up optional excursion to the Canyon de Chelly and stay overnight in Holbrook.
✓ Day 9: Monument Valley -
Leave Holbrook and continue through the Navajo Nation to Monument Valley used as a backdrop for many western movies. Stay overnight in Page, Arizona.
✓ Day 10: Grand Canyon National Park with Train Ride -
After leaving Page, return to the Navajo Reservations and travel to the magnificent Grand Canyon. In the late afternoon, you will arrive at the historic Route 66 community of Williams and enjoy an unforgettable train ride through the Grand Canyon National Park.
✓ Day 11: Seligman & Las Vegas-
Depart Williams and continue via Route 40 to Route 66 and visit Seligman in Arizona. Continue via Kingman to Las Vegas. Join an optional walking and driving orientation tour of the city.
✓ Day 12: Las Vegas -
Enjoy today at leisure to explore more of Las Vegas at your own pace.
✓ Day 13: Mojave Desert to Calico Ghost Town & Los Angeles -
After a leisurely morning, depart Las Vegas and continue the journey through the Mojave Desert and enjoy a stop at the Calico Ghost Town. Arrive in Los Angeles in the afternoon.
✓ Day 14: Los Angeles City Tour & Santa Monica -
Enjoy a full-day city tour of this mega city and visit some of its famous neighbourhoods including Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood and the Walk of Fame, Farmers Market and the Grove, passing Beverly Hills on the way to the final stop, Santa Monica. Explore Santa Monica at leisure before a farewell dinner to end the trip.
