✓ Lake Orta: Today you head to Lake Orta, a serene and lesser-known lake in northern Italy, nestled in the Piedmont region at the edge of the Alps. Known for its peaceful charm and unspoiled beauty, it offers a quiet alternative to the busier lakes nearby. The picturesque town of Orta San Giulio, with its cobbled streets and lakeside cafés, is the perfect base for exploring.
✓ Lake Maggiore: Travel through the wild and romantic landscapes of Val Grande National Park en route to Domodossola, a Centovalli Railway charming mountain town nestled in the Italian Alps. From here, board the scenic Centovalli Railway for an unforgettable journey through the picturesque “Valley of a Hundred Valleys.” Pass peaceful stone villages, chestnut woodlands, and dramatic gorges crossed by soaring bridges, all the way to Locarno. Your return journey unfolds with a leisurely three-hour boat ride across the full length of Lake Maggiore, bringing you back to Stresa in style.
