Overview

This place drops you right on the powdery sands of Playacar’s beach. There’s a relaxing vibe here – rows of sunloungers line up for you to take your pick, and there’s plenty of shade courtesy of tall palm trees.

There’s plenty to get involved with at the hotel – in the daytime, try your hand at windsurfing or bring out your competitive side with a game of beach volleyball. Come evening, there’s a lively entertainment programme including themed party nights.

Property Facilities

The hotel’s got a big pool, plus a separate one that’s just for kids. Chill out at the spa*, try your hand at some watersports, or squeeze in a workout at the fitness centre. Come mealtimes, you’ve got the pick of five restaurants, including a Mexican, an Italian and an international buffet place, plus there’s a poolside bar for snacks and cocktails.

Room Facilities

There are double rooms at the Viva Maya by Wyndham. You can stay in the main building, or opt for a superior, which has either a garden or limited sea view. Rooms have air-conditioning, a King-size bed or two double beds, a bathroom, plus an in-room safe.

Food, Drink & Entertainment

You’ve got five restaurants here, including an international buffet, an Italian, a Mexican place and a fusion eatery. There’s also a poolside snack bar serving up burgers, pizzas and fruit salads.
