You’ll need more than two hands to count all of the facilities here. Eight restaurants – a buffet and seven à la cartes – four pools and an arm’s-length roster of activities are the tip of the iceberg. There's no wonder it's a popular holiday spot with locals as well as sun-seekers.

This place is a winner when it comes to locations. It’s by a silk-smooth beach, where sunbeds and thatched umbrellas line up along the sand. Out at sea, there’s a coral reef nearby, which you can explore during a scuba diving lesson.

Slip into a wetsuit at the diving school*, and join one of the daily trips to explore a nearby reef. There are also outings to visit the crystal-clear Mayan cenotes. There’s a floodlit tennis court and a multi-sports court which plays host to football and basketball. Bowling's also on the cards, and down on the beach you can get a game of volleyball going.

The main buffet restaurant serves meals throughout the day. On top of that, there are six à la cartes to choose from, including Mexican and Caribbean options. There’s a Japanese restaurant with teppanyaki show-cooking, plus a dressy Italian à la carte. And for something more casual, there’s the crêperie, the pool bar or the coffee shop.
