Riu Baobab
The Riu Baobab has lots of Senegalese touches, from the artwork on the walls to local tipples in the Safari Bar.
Overview
Pointe Sarene's vanilla-coloured beach. You can try out kayaking and paddleboarding, or simply laze the day away beneath a thatched parasol with the lapping of the waves as your soundtrack.
The All Inclusive tag's active around the clock here, so you can grab a drink whenever you fancy. There's a main restaurant, a few speciality restaurants ticking off Asian and Italian cuisine, and a grill by the pools where you can grab a burger for lunch.

Food, Drink & Entertainment
The main buffet’s got you covered with a colourful layout of international dishes. There’s also a steakhouse restaurant, an Italian place and an Asian eatery to try. Plus, you’ve got a food joint by the pools serving light snacks for lunch. There are a few drinking spots at the Riu Baobab, the main one being the Safari Bar. It’s set in the lobby, stylishly kitted out with rattan seating, turquoise tiles and oversized lampshades. We’d recommend asking for the ‘Jus de Bissap’ – a fruity drink that’s made with hibiscus flowers, known as the national drink of Senegal.
Evenings come alive with a packed programme of entertainment here. We’d recommend catching the African show on the open-air stage – think upbeat drumming, extravagant outfits and lots of dancing. Plus, there’s a nightclub playing tunes into the early hours if you fancy throwing some shapes yourself. It's open six nights a week. The RiuLand kids’ club keeps little ones entertained throughout the day. It’s split into two age groups – 4 to 7-year-olds and 8 to 12-year-olds.
