Arrive at the airport before your flight to Colombo.
✓ Day 2: Arrival in Colombo
Land in Colombo at lunchtime and stay for one night at the four-star Arie Lagoon Hotel.
✓ Day 3: Dambulla and Habarana
Begin your adventure with a visit to the cave temples of Dambulla - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
✓ Day 4: Sigiriya rock
Visit one of the most memorable monuments in Sri Lanka: Sigiruya.
✓ Day 5: Kandy
Journey to Kandy - the country's royal capital - and stop off at a spice plantation en route.
✓ Day 6: Kandy
Explore Kandy's crowded and bustling streets, visit the famous Temple of the Tooth and wander the serene Royal Botanical Gardens.
✓ Day 7: Journey to Nuwara Eliya
Journey to Nuwara Eliya and visit a tea estate.
✓ Day 8: Elephant Transit Home
Journey south arriving at the Elephant Transit House.
✓ Day 9: Yala National Park
Embark on an early morning guided tour of Yala National Park in a 4x4 vehicle to try and spot the elusive leopard.
✓ Day 10: Kalutara
Return to the west coast via a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Galle, with its imposing 16th century Dutch Fort.
