Days 1-2: Christchurch
Christchurch Pick up camper van. Explore: Botanic Gardens, Riverside Market, Christchurch Gondola.
Day 3: Drive to Lake Tekapo
Drive time: ~3 hrs. Stop at: Rakaia Gorge, Fairlie Bakehouse Stargazing & Tekapo Hot Pools.
Day 3: Shanghai
Embark on a morning tour of Shanghai, with visits to Yuyuan Gardens, French Concession, and the Shanghai Museum. After lunch, visit the Bund, followed by a stroll along the world's busiest shopping street, Nanjing Road. This evening take an optional excursion to cruise along the Huangpu River (at your own cost).
Day 4: Drive to Queenstown via Lindis Pass
Drive time: ~4.5 hrs. Scenic drive through Omarama and Cromwell, arrive in Queenstown.
Days 5-7: Queenstown (3 Nights) Adventure
Skyline Gondola, luge, jet boating. Optional day trip: Milford Sound (coach or fly), Arrowtown Great eats: Fergburger, Patagonia Chocolates.
Day 8: Drive to Franz Josef Glacier
Drive time: ~5–6 hrs via Haast Pass. Short hikes, glacier valley walk, or hot pools.
Day 9: Drive to Punakaiki
Drive time: ~3.5 hrs. Visit: Pancake Rocks, blowholes at high tide.
Day 10: Drive to Picton
Drive time: ~5.5 hrs via Buller Gorge. Optional stop: Nelson Lakes or Havelock (green-lipped mussels).
Day 11: Ferry to Wellington
Ferry time: ~3.5 hrs. Afternoon: Te Papa Museum, Cuba Street.
Days 12-13: Wellington (2 Nights Total)
Extra day for Zealandia, Weta Workshop, or Mount Victoria. Optional day trip: Martinborough wineries
Day 14: Drive to Tongariro National Park
Drive time: ~4.5 hrs. Optional hike: Taranaki Falls or part of the Alpine Crossing
